In these passages, the fullness of time is the result of the apocalyptic irruption of God’s salvation in Christ, which fulfills the history of salvation. A similar view is found in Mk 1,15: time is fulfilled by the kingdom of God, inaugurated by Jesus, which marks the turning point in history and fulfills the prophetic promises. Therefore, the apocalyptic and historical-salvific perspectives are not mutually exclusive in the first words of Jesus in Mark. | ||
