Summary: | Recently, more attention has been given to the question whether the Septuagint (LXX) attests a theology different from that of the Masoretic Text. In order to contribute to an answer to this question, this article examines the minuses in LXX Job where MT records אל ,אלהים ,יהוה and שׁדי. Since these minuses show clear differences between the LXX and MT and since they pertain to the divine name, studying them might shed more light on the translation technique and theology of the LXX translator of Job. |
