Summary: | Many readers of the Journal for the Study of Spirituality will be aware of the work of the Wrekin Trust, founded in the UK in 1971 by Sir George Trevelyan Bt to provide non-sectarian spiritual education. Trevelyan’s life spanned the twentieth century from 1906 to 1996 and he is widely regarded as one of the founders of the contemporary ‘grassroots’ spirituality movement.1 Having helped to seed this movement and to support its development, the Trust now considers that its pioneering mission is complete and it is to close. Roger Orgill reports on behalf of the Trustees. |
