Résumé:Ibn Qayyim al-Jawzīyah is one of the flag bearers of Islāmic psychology. Ibn Qayyim had rightly identified the relation between the physical and spiritual ailments. He has contributed both in the fields of spiritual and physical health. For curing psycho-spiritual diseases, he has proposed number of spiritual interventions that include faith in God, worship, dhikr (remembrance of God) patience, and supplication. He has also proposed cognitive-behavioral model and the therapeutic intervention of cognitive restructuring that is based on reliance and trust in God for those who are suffering from deprivation or loss.
