Summary: | This study explored the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being in 3 branches of Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Judaism in a mid-western American Jewish community. These 3 branches were compared on spirituality and 2 measures of psychological well-being. Participants were 324 Orthodox, Conservative, or Reform Jewish adults. Results suggested that significant differences existed among the 3 branches of Judaism on spirituality but not on either measure of psychological well-being. Some significant differences in well-being were found between the Jewish sample and the norm group on 1 of the measures of psychological well-being. |
