Summary: | The focus of this paper is the sixteen sacraments in Hinduism. Knowledge of these ceremonies are secured from the Vedas and are intended to be performed at the different stages of a person's life. The essence of this paper is the different sacraments with some focus on whether South African Hindus are influenced by these sacraments. Also an area of focus is an analysis of the context of some the sacraments and their distinct relationship to areas of medicine, psychology and alternate medicine. |
