In this first part, a brief impression is given of the developments in historiography itself. Subsequently, the first general publications are discussed. The 19th century has received relatively little attention, whereas a great deal has been published about the period after 1945. Then the publications in the field of church life are dealt with: bishoprics and parishes, bishops, priests, and religious, as well as various aspects of church life, such as catechism, liturgy, devotion, pilgrimages, mission, and ecumenism. |
