Description
Summary:This paper probes the work of Amitai Etzioni with regard to the vacuum created due to overturning of the ethics in the West, especially towards the family system. It will also demonstrate how the Islamic familial system is an answer to this challenging situation. And to what extent Islamic knowledge can be considered as a key element for strengthening the families. Furthermore, how it can solidify the family system by transforming the individuals. The following paper is not a study of Islamic family structure in itself. However, it overviews that how the setting of Islamic family can be seen as a pristine example of all the pieces that are missing from the puzzle of Western objective of a healthy home. Therefore, attainment of Islamic knowledge can be used as a tool to remodel an individual in a manner that will strengthen the foundation of family bond in the contemporary scenario.
