| Итог: | Illustrious Jesuit born in the middle of the Spanish Golden Age in Granada, who taught Theology in Segovia, Valladolid, Ávila and even Rome, where he counted among his listeners, the Supreme Pontiff. After returning to Castilian lands, Felipe II managed to get him to accept a chair at the University of Coimbra. Suárez's wisdom was required by the Holy See on various occasions, (the rebellion of the city of Venice, or the defense of the Catholic Faith against the Anglicanism represented by James I of England, among others). Suárez considered that the eternal law was applied and manifested in the human being through natural law, which dictates what is good or bad, independently of any higher will. |
