Summary: | In this review article, the author discusses and elaborates on the topic of Karin Sjögren’s dissertation Judar i det svenska folkhemmet. Minne och identitet i Judisk krönika 1948-1958 (transl. Jews in the Swedish people’s home. Memory and identity in Judisk krönika 1948-1958). The first issue of Judisk krönika (Jewish Chronicle) was published in 1932, after the Scandinavian Jewish Youth Organization decided that there is a need for an organ to connect the members of the association. Judisk krönika was the most important voice of the Zionist movement in Sweden and Scandinavia in the 1950s. |
