Summary:In December 1986, Dr Phil. C. Vilh. Jacobowsky died in Skara, Sweden. Twenty years earlier the University Library of Uppsala had acquired his collection of Judaica. The present study is an attempt to evaluate the collection. The collection consists of ca 13 000 titles, giving a total amount of 18 500 titles of Hebraica/Judaica in the library. The collection is mainly a collection of literature in the humanities, with historical, biographical and religious literature as well as fiction as principal sections.
