Summary: | The objective of this paper is to show that the religious experience in Candomblé permeates the relationship of the devoted with its Orisha. To achieve said goal, the first step was to understand religious experience as what it is, using as theoretical basis the works of authors like Rudolf Otto and MirceaEliade. In sequence is presented and from that the relationship of the devoted with its Orisha is thought out, showing its constitution and development. Lastly, it sought to answer to the main point of the text: ‘Why this relationship (between devoted and Orisha) can be considered a religious experience?’ And ‘How did this relationship contribute to the perpetuation of tradition?’ |
