| Summary: | This paper aims to understand the Nietzschean critique directed at Christianity and modernity. This is seen by Nietzsche as a natural extension of Christianity, however not from ecclesiastical Christianity, as an expression of a dogmatic religion, but as a set of civilizing ideals that, according to him, are everywhere, even where they sought to deny them, especially from the ideas of progress, socialism, scientism. To what extent these modern ideas represent for Nietzsche a relationship with Christianity? That is the question that will guide the development of this work. For this approach will be prioritized text of Antichrist, written in 1888. However, insofar as this is required, other Nietzschean articles are used, respecting the time of writing. |
