Summary: | In the eighties of last century there was a process of increasing visibility of the New Age movement in the printed press. This can be noticed and analyzed through the essays and articles of the big media that called attention to and evaluated the "effervescence" of esoterism during that decade. The aim of this paper is to analyze this "expansion" through the relation between the beginning of the "esoteric market" and the perceptions of the printed press. As it seems, the increasing visibility of the New Age gives place to the movement to configure itself as a phenomenon of cultural consumption. This process is happening in the scope of the public space and also by means of the media. |
