Love and Sympathy in Theravada Buddhism

In contrast to the old Western scholars view that Theravada Buddhism contains a cold and aloof ideal, the present book makes an attempt-based on the early Pali discourses of Buddha-to show that the concern for others, or love and sympathy for them is very central to Theravada religious life.
