Description
Summary:Of late there has been vastly increased interest and enthusiasm for African Studies. Studies on Africa, and African Traditional religion find a place in the curriculum of many universities even ~in Europe and America. African traditional religion is a recognized course in African Universities, training colleges and seminaries and even in the upper classes of secondary schools. So there was need of a guide book and the publication of this book is therefore timely. The author E. Bolaji Idowu is an African citizen, Professor of Religious Studies in the University of Ifadan, Nigeria. So far those who engaged in studies on Africa have been westerners; they had their own prejudices and preconceived ideas about Africa and her religion.
