The performance took place in September 1388 in Tarragona’s Plaça del Corral after the King’s authorisation. It was organised by a Franciscan-related Confraternity in the presence of their most famous friar: Francesc Eiximenis. The 675 verses’ text is preserved in a manuscript of the Archdiocesan Historical Archive of Tarragona, alongside annotations on the liturgical hymns and profane songs with which its interpretation ought to be realised. | ||
