Description
Summary:Nowadays, philosophy, and more particularly phenomenology, seems to find itself at odds with theology, especially in France. While certain voices accuse phenomenologists of an alleged theological turn and they protest this criticism as if any form of theologizing would affect their intellectual integrity, no one tries to make a fluid transition from one discipline to the other, that is, to consider both as different but complementary. By daring to "cross the Rubicon", this article tries to put an end to the frequent position of mistrust and offers a "return ticket" from theology to phenomenology and vice versa, in the conviction that "the more one theologizes, the better one philosophizes". Far from philosophies of the "threshold" or the "leap", this paper argues in favor of a true meeting of disciplines, sure that they will enforce their differences if they both acknowledge that the best way to enrich their own fields is to accept the intellectual relevance of the other. Alea jacta est: "the die is cast", persuaded that thinking demands taking risks
