Summary: | Starting from the can. 916, this article will explore the canonical enactment which provides that, in order to receive and celebrate the Holy Eucharist, we should be rite dispositus. The prospect according to which it will analyze the question will be that of the priest, who must refrain from celebrating if it has the necessary moral dispositions. We will try to bring out the grounds on which such a rule, especially on the meaning and sanctity of the Most Holy Sacrament of the Body and Blood of the Lord, always referring to the magisterium and the Church's doctrine. In addition, it will offer a reflection on the can. 904, in conjunction with the can. 916, regarding the frequent celebration of the Eucharist. Can see clearly how the canonical discipline places it at the service of holiness in the Church, especially by protecting the supreme good to better achieve the salus animarum of the faithful. |
