Resumo:The article discusses the claim that the Black Lives Matter social movement can be addressed in classrooms through the highlighting of the importance of Black people during the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods of history, and it mentions whiteness, colonialism, and the rethinking of teaching practices and syllabi. Medieval studies and diversity education are examined, along with video game avatars, digital historical resources, and class blogs and assignments.
