| Summary: | This article is made up of three parts. Firstly we are given a panorama of Complexity Literature, showing the existence of at least three distinct fields. We can understand complexity in fact in terms of a non linear chaotic ‘complicatedness’, as a property of some dynamic additive system or as an attribute of the hermeneutical process. In the second part some considerations on the present day interpretations of the concept of complexity will be discussed. In particular, the authors propose an understanding of complexity not only as a datum of a subject/object hermeneutical system but as the intrinsic property of reality itself, continually inviting one to not reduce reality to that which the person is merely able to grasp therein. Finally, in the third part, the article introduces the contributions of the authors of the Dossier, contextualizing them in relation to the theme of complexity. L’articolo si compone di tre parti. Anzitutto viene presentata una panoramica della letteratura sulla complessità, mostrando l’esistenza di almeno tre filoni distinti. La complessità, infatti, può essere intesa come complicatezza caotica e non lineare, come proprietà di alcuni sistemi dinamici adattivi o come attributo del processo ermeneutico. Nella seconda parte si trovano al- cune considerazioni sulle attuali interpretazioni del concetto di complessità. In particolare, si propone di intendere la complessità non solo come dato del sistema ermeneutico soggetto-oggetto, ma come proprietà intrinseca alla realtà, che invita continuamente a non ridurla a ciò che l’uomo può cogliere di essa. Infine, nella terza parte, l’articolo introduce i contributi degli autori del Dossier, contestualizzandoli in relazione al tema della complessità. |
