| Summary: | L’articolo prende in esame gli elementi di teologia sponsale presenti negli scritti di Christophe Lebreton, uno dei sette monaci trappisti del monastero dell’Atlas, uccisi a Tibhirine nel 1996, sviluppandone una rielaborazione sistematica. A partire dagli scritti di Lebreton, si evidenziano: il contesto eucologico, i tratti specifici della teologia sponsale, tra i quali: il simbolo del Bacio come mistero di comunicazione e fondamento del viaggio della conversione; la relazione con lo Sposo come esperienza di purificazione e la presenza e l’incidenza dell’affidamento filiale alla Vergine Maria. Presentando, in ultima analisi, accanto alle tre vie: purgativa, illuminativa e unitiva, alcuni elementi originali per la vita spirituale: la via della povertà, la via affettiva e la via pulchritudinis, colte come vissuto dagli scritti di Lebreton. The Spousal Theology of Christoph Lebreton. A Systematic Analysis of some Aspects of the Writings of the Martyr of Tibhirine This article presents a study of certain elements of spousal theology in the writings of Christophe Lebreton, one of the seven martyrs of Tibhirine. The following aspects of Lebreton’s works are brought to the fore: the eucological context of his writings; specific features of spousal theology, such as the symbol of the Kiss, to express the mystery of communication and the foundation for conversion; the relationship to the Bridegroom as an experience of purification; the presence and impact of filial trust in the Virgin Mary. Alongside the purgative, illuminative and unitive ways of the spiritual life, the way of poverty, the way of the affections and the via pulchritudinis appear in Lebreton’s writings as they are experienced by the writer. |
