Summary:Starting from the definition of kyriarchy and the use of a hermeneutics of suspicion, this article intends to observe some consequences of the monotheism formation process in Ancient Israel for the lives of women. Thus, it was necessary to go through three historical moments: the religious changes of Hezekiah and Josiah in the implementation of monolatry and the post-exile as the final step towards monotheism. In these moments, the exclusion of women from the representation of religious experience as deities and even from the religious roles they occupied has been perceive. It seeks to understand that these events configure, in stages, a system of kyriarchal domination, by concentrating the sacred in a single God and by the political-religious leadership occupied by men, restricting women to domestic and unofficial environments. It also addresses how translations hide the roles of women and Goddesses present in the sacred text. It ends by discussing the role of fundamentalisms in maintaining a system of kyriarchy today.
Partindo da definição de kyriarcado e do uso de uma hermenêutica da suspeita, este artigo pretende observar algumas consequências do processo de formação do monoteísmo no Antigo Israel para a vida das mulheres. Assim, foi necessário perpassar por três momentos históricos: as mudanças religiosas de Ezequias e Josias na implantação da monolatria e o pós-exílio como passo final ao monoteísmo. Nesses momentos, percebe-se a exclusão das mulheres na representação de experiência religiosa como divindades e ainda dos papéis religiosos que ocupavam. Procura-se compreender que esses acontecimentos configuram, em etapas, um sistema de domínio kyriarcal, por concentrar o sagrado em um só Deus e pela liderança político-religiosa ocupada por homens, restringindo a mulher aos ambientes domésticos e não oficiais. Também aborda a forma como as traduções ocultam os papéis de mulheres e as Deusas presentes no texto sagrado. Termina discutindo o papel dos fundamentalismos na manutenção de um sistema de kyriarcado hoje.
