Summary: | The theme of this article is about Jesus' modus operandi, the way he proclaims the arrival of the Kingdom of God, which consists in the restoration of health to people in their various illnesses. What is your energy source for the mission? Where did he get the power to heal and even save people from death, restoring them to health? In short, where did he find the strength for this saving mission? The aim of this brief research is to demonstrate the intimate relationship between spirituality and health in Jesus' messianic practice. The methodology used is that of biblical exegesis, from Mk 1,32-39, in the perspective of an updated theological hermeneutics, which leads to conclusions about the saving missionary action of Jesus, relevant to the evangelizing action in the present time. The results point to the fact that Jesus' messianic activity contains a soteriology that takes into account the restoration of physical and mental health. It is not about a spirituality disembodied from real human needs, in their physical and mental frailties. It is, without a doubt, a practice committed to the establishment of the Kingdom of God, which must be continued by the current disciples of Jesus. |
