| Summary: | If the ethical question, what should I do? is addressed to humanity in general, it is because it is posed in the first person. In the same vein, the answer to the anthropological question, what is Man? orients our normative expectations concerning humanity. This systematic aspect of the relationship between moral philosophy and anthropology can be updated according to the historical aspect of the challenge posed by our contemporary spiritual situation. Characterised by a weakening of the fundamental principles of our societies, this situation warrants a metaphysical anxiety, in response to the question: what is reality? Linked to this is the problem of the resonance of the sentient body with its environment, as the relationship of the Living to the Living gives way to the relationship of the Living to the Technical. Si la question de la morale: que dois-je faire? s'adresse à l"Homme en général, c'est parce qu'elle est posée en première personne. Quant à la réponse à la question anthropologique: qu'est-ce que l'Homme?, elle oriente les attentes normatives à son endroit. Cet aspect systématique de la relation entre philosophie morale et anthropologie se laisse actualiser sous l'aspect historique du défi représenté par la situation spirituelle de notre temps. Marquée par un ébranlement du socle convictionnel de nos sociétés, cette situation justifie une inquiétude métaphysique, en réponse à la question: qu'est-ce que le réel ? S'y attache le problème de la résonance du corps sensible à son environnement, lorsque la relation du Vivant au Vivant tend à céder le pas à la relation du Vivant au Technique. |
