Description
Summary:In Christian theology, ethics is necessarily informed by Christology. But in what ways? Beyond any "direct" or "simple" relationship which would seek in Christology readymade answers to the ethical questions of our time, Christological reflection directs theological ethics towards the deeper meaning of our relationship with others and the world. The account of the passion of Jesus of Nazareth sheds light on our relationship with the crucified people of our own time, indicating the priority of nonviolence and forbidding any legitimisation of the bellicose and hegemonic tendencies that continue to tear apart humanity today.
