| Summary: | This article presents the results of an intertextual study comparing the text of Benedict XVI's Spe salvi with earlier texts published by him as Joseph Ratzinger. The comparison shows that, decades before publishing Spe salvi, our author had already enunciated certain fundamental theses regarding worldly utopias and freedom's role in the diversification of human final destinies. On the other hand, in the encyclical he does not develop his speculation on the nature of the human soul, as he does in earlier works. The presence of specific themes in Spe salvi and the absence of others may be indicative of the long-term concerns of Ratzinger/ Benedict XVI, as well as the varying dogmatic weight he attributes to his own eschatological conceptions. Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio intertextual, comparando el texto del Spe salvi de Benedicto XVI con textos publicados anteriormente por él como Joseph Ratzinger. La comparación muestra que, décadas antes de publicar Spe salvi, nuestro autor ya enunció ciertas tesis fundamentales sobre las utopías mundanas y el papel de la libertad en la diversificación de los destinos escatológicos de los seres humanos. Por otro lado, en la encíclica no desarrolla una especulación sobre la naturaleza del alma humana, como lo hace en obras más antiguas. La presencia de temas específicos en Spe salvi y la ausencia de otros parecen indicativas de las preocupaciones a largo plazo de Ratzinger/Benedicto XVI, así como del variable peso dogmático que atribuye a sus propias concepciones escatológicas. |
