Description
Summary:Catherine Larrère is professor emerita of philosophy at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, specialized in the thought of Montesquieu, the philosophy of nature and environmental ethics. After her early studies of philosophy, she has gradually become interested in ecological issues. Today she is a recognised specialist in environmental philosophy. Initially convinced of the strict rationality of ecology, she has moved towards a broader consideration of ecological issues that include a reflection on the desire to sacralise nature. She is currently working on the ways in which ecology, religion, and spirituality are connected. The interview is realized by Frédéric Rognon, professor of philosophy at the University of Strasbourg.
