Description
Summary:The Epistle of James is seen to utilise, but supercede the traditional Wisdom scheme of retribution, both in this life and that of the world to come, for good or bad conduct. Not only in the programmatic closing exhortation, but through the complete range of seemingly unconnected moral appeals, an early Christian concern is detected for a lifestyle that is compatible with the redemption brought about by God's wisdom emissary, 'our glorious Lord Jesus Christ' (2:1 NIV).
