Итог:Reacting to an article by E H Scheffler in 1990 the author discusses Luke's use of the Q-tradition in his transmission of the Baptist-narrative in Luke 3:20. The author questions Scheffler's conclusion that Luke changed the harshness of the Q- tradition because of his social-ethical stance. Whereas Scheffler argues that Luke softened the judgemental character of John's message, the author maintains that Luke did not alter the harshness of the Baptist's message as he found it in Q, but rather that he wished to emphasise what the proper reaction to this message of coming judgement was, and who responded to this message. Both the Q-tradition as well as the 'Standespredigt' are discussed in an attempt to clarify Luke's intent with the passage.
