Description
Summary:A historical study of the origins of resurrection faith by means of the social sciences - as opposed to a traditional approach - does not accept that only an ""eschatological event"" can account for its origins; neither does it uncritically accept that the sources can be trusted as faithful historical records. This article, focusing on the origins of resurrection faith, points out some of the epistemological challenges which a social scientific approach poses for traditional New Testament scholarship.
