Cohesive ties in 1 Timothy

Whereas some contend that the Pastoral Epistles are a collection of miscellaneous, incohesive materials, several recent scholars are proposing a coherent, textually cohesive argument in the letters. An application of Halliday and Hasan's theory of cohesive ties to 1 Timothy supports this trend.
