Description
Summary:Cornelis Bennema has written this book in order to apply "a comprehensive, non-reductionist theory of character" (202) in the analysis, classification and evaluation of the cast of characters that populate John's Gospel. He has done so in order to show that the theory of character he is working with is fully germane in the study of a biblical text and also to fill the perceived lack of such a comprehensive analysis of John's Gospel in particular.
