Summary: | The publication, Paul and the second century, is a compendium of essays published in the Library of New Testament Studies (LNTS 412) book series, edited by Michael Bird and Joseph Dodson. This volume is a succession of the LNTS 411 (Bird, M.F. & Willitts, J. 2012. Paul and the Gospels). The volume presents an extended juxtaposition of Paul's thought with a wide selection of writings from the second century. This compendium consists of 13 essays which also reveal a continuum (as in the case of Paul and the Gospels) regarding the various opinions and awareness of the Fathers about the person and work of Paul in the second century. |
