Description
Summary:This essay distinguishes between the ways in which Paul affirms and the ways in which he denies justification through works of the Law. Such a distinction makes it possible to recognise a positive attitude towards the Law and Judaism as consistent with Paul's thinking, which can provide the church with a better understanding of Judaism, but also contribute to a new self-justification through works of the Law which Paul evaluates as indispensable for faith.
