Summary: | In this study the positive statements about the law in the paraenetic section in Galatians 5: 13-6: 10 are examined in relation to the remarks of the abolition of the law in the previous sections in the letter. It is argued that although the two distinctive functions of the law as the obligation of the Sinai covenant and as an enslaving power are abrogated by the redemptive works of Christ, for Paul the law still serves as an expression of love in spite of nationalistic limitation. |
