| Summary: | This article is a commentary on the Instruction Cor orans, published in 2018 by the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, complementing the Apostolic Constitution Vultum Dei quærere on the contemplative life of women. This Instruction, which in many ways is akin to a true papal law, profoundly subverts the norms that until then governed cloistered nuns, whether it be the autonomy of the monasteries, the cloister, or formation. The article seeks to educe the mens legislatoris, which inspires only a partial vision of the contemplative life. Cet article est un commentaire de l’Instruction Cor orans, publiée en 2018 par la Congrégation pour les Instituts de vie consacrée et les Sociétés de vie apostolique, en complément de la Constitution apostolique Vultum Dei quærere sur la vie contemplative féminine. Cette Instruction, qui s’apparente sous bien des aspects à une véritable loi pontificale, bouleverse profondément les normes qui régissaient jusque-là les moniales cloîtrées, qu’il s’agisse de l’autonomie des monastères, de la clôture ou de la formation. L’article s’attache à dégager la mens legislatoris, qu’inspire une vision partielle de la vie contemplative. |
