Description
Summary:The book of Kohelet is essentially concerned with the question of a (lasting) meaning in immanence (»under the sun«). For this purpose, Kohelet slips into the role of the king in Jerusalem, to whom supposedly all possibilities of human life are available. A new syntactic analysis of Koh 1:12 now shows that the author explicitly formulates this role-play and thus offers the reader the appropriation of this perspective.
