Description
Summary:Noticeable in Augustine is a great geographic instability as long as he remains unconverted. Each stage of his itinerary corresponds to a change of place, up to his arrival in Milan, the place of his encounter with Ambrose, then his baptism. Having found his spiritual place, he then returns to Africa which he will not leave again. From these places where he feels confined, Augustine tries to escape, first by dreams (Dido, the spectacles, etc.), then by mystical aspirations. His conversion allows him to enter another world, because his outlook, as well as his relationships with others and himself, has changed.
