| Summary: | With respect to solitude in Levinas, his thought has now been well accounted for, but not its origins — beyond Heidegger and Husserl, Proust and especially Estaunié -, nor moreover the twofold ambiguity — thematic and axiological — like the twofold ambivalence — methodological and thetic. Such is the purpose of this study, which draws on his first unpublished writings as well as his published texts, all of which allow us to appreciate, among the tradition’s great thinkers, Levinas’ solitude. De la solitude chez Levinas, la doctrine a déjà été ressaisie, mais non point les origines — par-delà Heidegger et Husserl, Proust et surtout Estaunié -, ni d’ailleurs la double ambiguïté - thématique et axiologique — comme la double ambivalence — méthodologique et thétique. C’est là le but de cette étude qui s’appuie aussi bien sur les textes publiés par l’auteur que sur ses premiers inédits, tous faisant mieux apprécier, parmi les grands penseurs de la tradition, la solitude de Levinas. |
