| Summary: | The Pauline concept of « faith of Christ » is far from being widely accepted. The objections most often raised against it solely on the basis of textual analysis are notoriously inadequate. The true reason for rejecting it is the following theological option :« Jesus’ relation with his Father is of an order other than ours » (A. Vanhoye). As a result, we manage to hide one of the major elements of the cross and deprive ourselves of an interpretative key for unlocking numerous passages, such as Rm 1,16; 3,27; Ga 3,1-2; 3,22-26; Rm 1,11-12; I Tm 1,4; Rm 3,25. RésuméLe concept paulinien de « foi du Christ » est loin d’être largement accepté. Les objections qu’on lui oppose sur la seule base d’une analyse des textes sont notoirement insuffisantes. La vraie raison du refus est l’option théologique que voici : « le rapport de Jésus à son Père est d’un autre ordre que le nôtre » (A. Vanhoye). On en arrive ainsi à occulter ce qui semble être l’une des composantes majeures de la Croix et l’on se prive d’une « clef de lecture » qui ouvre à l’intelligence de nombreux passages tels que : Rm 1,16; 3,27; Ga 3,1-2; 3,22-26; Rm 1,11-12; I Tm 1,4; Rm 3,25. |
