| Summary: | With a view to better situating the problem of nature and reality, one first follows Weil in his examination of the contrast between ancient naïveté and modern power, wherein knoweldge shows its limits and existence its originality. From Hegel to Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty, passing through Schelling, Bergson and Nietzche, one then revisits a few key philosophical orientations toward this question before submitting them to the screening of Kant’s critical distinctions. This leads finally to the exploration—and interrogation—of the manner in which Weil tries to articulate, through the rational understanding of discourse, the finite negativity of existence in labor and its ultimate inscription in the positive infinity of the All of reality. RésuméEn vue de mieux poser le problème de la nature et de la réalité, on suit d’abord Weil dans son examen contrasté de la naïveté antique et de la puissance moderne. Le savoir y manifeste ses limites et l’existence son originalité. De Hegel à Heidegger et Merleau-Ponty en passant par Schelling, Bergson et Nietzsche, on reparcourt alors quelques orientations philosophiques majeures sur cette question avant de les laisser passer au crible des distinctions critiques de Kant. Ce qui conduit finalement à explorer - et à interroger - la manière dont Weil tente d’articuler, à travers la compréhension raisonnable du discours, la négativité finie de l’existence en travail et son inscription ultime dans l’infinité positive du Tout de la réalité. |
