Resumo:Most current specialists have concluded that the sixty-one dossiers were established by Pascal himself. Is this not, in fact, the case ? F. Kaplan finds them incoherent, and sets against them the many pointers concerning classification which are found in Pascal’s autographs, upon which Kaplan bases his own edition. It is a considerable step forward to have taken into account Pascal’s indications, as F. Kaplan was the first to do. Yet, on the hand, it only serves to underline the Pascalian authenticity of the dossiers, and enables them to be placed perfectly in order, thus bringing us as near as could be to the apology as it stood at the death of its author.
