Summary: | After a presentation of Thomas Aquinas’s Sentencia libri De anima, this article would show the specificity of the thomasian concept of soul (especially with regard to those of Avicenna and Albert the Great) and what determining elements intervene on the question of intellect in this Commentary. It next traces the stages by which the concept of ’subsisting form’, which allows for putting together previously established principles, emerges in Aquinas’s works. |
