Après un bref examen de ses analyses de l'omnipotence et de l'omniscience divine, nous nous attacherons à un argument par lequel il épingle la faiblesse de l'analyse des énoncés prédictifs proposée par Boèce. In his De divina omnipotentia, Peter Damian (11th century) shows the irrelevance of logic in the sphere of theology. He is far from being the anti-dialectician that he was thought to be, and he proves his mastery of dialectics through his capacity to discern its limits. After a short analysis of the divine omnipotence and omniscience, we shall fix our attention on an argument used by Peter Damian to mark the weak points of the analysis of predictive sentences proposed by Boethius. |
