Désormais, la mort n'est plus perçue comme un phénomène cosmique. Elle est vécue dans sa dimension personnelle. Sa naturalité ne dépend plus de son universalité. Elle est liée à son nouveau statut d'ouverture à l'essentiel. Platonist concepts, in the Apology and the Phaedo, give rise to a deep-rooted modification of the notion of death, in that they bring into play an individualism inherent in the blossoming forth of a psyche-phronesis whose intrinsic quality rivals its ability to come down to the realities which gave it birth. From this point on, death is not seen as a cosmic phenomenon. It is perceived in its personal dimension. Its naturalness no longer depends on its universality. It is seen in its new status as a way forward to the things that matter. | ||
