| Summary: | Cet article, extrait d'une thèse récemment soutenue devant la Sorbonne et l'Institut Catholique de Paris, présente et discute les positions de Teilhard de Chardin sur le problème du mal. Ce problème, sur lequel philosophes et théologiens n'ont cessé de se pencher, a été l'objet de positions originales de la part du savant jésuite. Explicable par certains de ses aspects, le mal n'en demeure pas moins un mystère: en dépit de toutes les tentatives de compréhension, il reste incompréhensible en dehors d'une Christologie générale, donc de la foi. En tant que philosophe, comme évolutionnisie et stoïcien, puis en tant que théologien, comme se réclamant de S. Paul et de S. Jean et se passionnant pour le Corps Mystique et la Plérômisation, Teilhard propose une doctrine du mal dont les principaux aspects sont ici analysés. This article, an extract from a thesis recently defended at the Sorbonne and the Institut Catholique of Paris, presents and discusses the positions of Teilhard de Chardin on the problem of evil. This problem, a perennial one for philosophers and theologians, was the object of original thought on the part of the Jesuit scholar. Even if certain aspects of it can be explained, evil remains a mystery: in spite of all attempts to understand it, evil remains incomprehensible outside of a general Christology, and therefore of the faith. As philosopher, as evolutionist and stoïcist then as theologian, drawing on St. Paul and St. John and excited by the theology of the Mystical Body and the Pleroma, Teilhard proposes a doctrine of evil; the principal aspects of his thought are analysed here. |
