| Summary: | L'unification liturgique de l'Occident latin s'est réalisée en deux temps. Dans un premier temps on constate l'adoption, partout ou presque, de liturgies romaines par leur structure et la plus grande partie de leur répertoire ; mais il ne s'agit pas encore d'une liturgie uniforme, ni de livres liturgiques qui soient rigoureusement les mêmes. Ce premier temps d'unification s'achève avec Grégoire VII. L'ecclesiologie de celui-ci porte d'ailleurs en elle le germe et le principe de l'uniformité liturgique réalisée après le Concile de Trente. Au XIIIe s. la liturgie de la chapelle papale, de la curie papale s'établit dans toutes les églises de Rome, même dans la cathédrale du Latran. Peu nombreux sont les diocèses qui ont adopté la liturgie de la curie romaine avant le XVIe siècle. The liturgical unification of the Latin West came about in two stages. In the first one can see nearly ewerywhere the adoption of liturgies wich were Roman in their structure and, for the most part, in their repertory as well. However, it is not yet a case of a uniform liturgy or of liturgical books which correspond exactly to one another. This stage of unification is accomplished by the time of Gregory VII. The ecclesiology contained in it, though, carries the seed and the principle of the liturgical uniformity realized after the Council of Trent. In the 13th century the liturgy of the papal chapel, of the papal curia, is established in all the churches of Rome, even in St. John Lateran. But the dioceses which adopt the liturgy of the Roman curia before the 16th century are not numerous. |
