| Summary: | 134 Jewish male seminarians, enrolled in the upper two classes of the three major rabbinical seminaries which train rabbis for the three branches of Judaism, viz., Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform, completed a modified form of the Inventory of Religious Activities and Interests. Significant differences (p<.05) were found among the groups in the degree of preference for three of the eight rabinnical roles. There was also little agreement among the groups in the order of their preference for, or interest in, the various ministerial activities associated with the rabbinate. Differences in role preferences between Jewish and Christian clergymen were also noted. |
