Description
Summary:As a consequence of the changes in the basic conceptions which modern man has of the universe and of human society, the concept of the spiritual has undergone significant transformations. It is necessary to distinguish the institutionalized spiritual from the general concept of the spiritual. The spiritual in man appears within the aspects of man on which sociology is focused only inasmuch as it is the institutionalized spiritual. Sociology requires a meta-sociology in order to develop a model of man adequate for the whole of human existence.
